Declaration

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Therefore we process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this privacy statement we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within our respective congress website.

Your personal data and data storage:

Your personal information that you have voluntarily submitted to us via online registration, telephone or e-mail or by your group coordinator / travel agency will be collected, stored and processed in accordance with data protection legislation (EU-DSGVO). For the purpose of contract execution or participation in congresses, the following data has been saved:

  • Surname
  • First name
  • Academic Degree
  • Date of birth (optional and not compulsory)
  • Gender Institute / Department
  • Address
  • Telephone / Fax (optional and not mandatory)
  • E-mail address

There will be no data transfer to third parties, with the exception of the direct transmission of credit card data to our payment provider WIRECARD and SUMUP for the purpose of charging the congress fees, as well as to our tax advisor to fulfill our tax obligations.

Medconvent GmbH is not responsible for the data entered by you on other websites provided by Medconvent GmbH through a link on the respective congress website (other congresses, sponsors, hotel booking via booking platforms etc.). These are also subject to the EU GDPR, but the implementation of these is the responsibility of every company. Our privacy policy applies exclusively to data for which we (Medconvent GmbH) are responsible.

Protecting your data:

Medconvent GmbH takes reasonable administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access and use. We only retain your information for as long as is necessary for the provision of our services and for legitimate business purposes, unless we are required by law or ordinance or litigation and regulatory investigation to retain it for a longer period of time.

Newsletter

You can subscribe to our newsletter (only information about congresses organized by Medconvent) via our respective congress website during the registration process. For this we need your approval for sending you our newsletter. You can cancel the subscription to the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following e-mail address: unsubscribe@medconvent.at. We will immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter.

Your rights

In general, you have the right of information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transfer, right of withdrawal and right of objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or if your data protection claims have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. As Medconvent GmbH is legally based in Austria you can only complain at the Austrian data protection authority.

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device using the browser. We use cookies to make our website and services user-friendly. We inform you that the use of this Facebook page and its features lies within your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of all interactive functions (e.g., comments, share, like). Alternatively, you can use the following website to obtain all information about the CMR Course.: www.cmr-course.de.

When visiting our Facebook page, Facebook, etc., collects your IP address as well as further information through cookies which are stored on your PC. This information will be used for statistical matters to provide us information about the use of this Facebook page.

It is not known to us how Facebook uses data for their own purposes from visitors of this Facebook page. It is not known how Facebook allocates activities of visitors, how long this data will be saved and stored and if data will be transferred to third parties. Facebook does not clearly announce this issue.
